§ 18-63. Chief, assistant chief; offices created, appointment, terms.

The offices of chief and assistant chief of the fire department are hereby created, said offices to be filled by appointment by the mayor and board of aldermen, and said officers are to hold office until their successors are duly appointed and qualified.
