§ 22-7. Fencing of certain lots required.

  • (a)

    All lots or parts of lots or tracts of land used for the purpose of storing or abandoning junk shall be surrounded and enclosed by an eight-foot board fence. It shall be unlawful for any person to store or abandon junk within the corporate limits of the city without first enclosing the property on which the junk is stored and abandoned with such a board fence.

    (b)

    All persons storing or abandoning junk in violation of this section and all landowners and possessors of property within the corporate limits of the city who shall permit junk to be stored or abandoned in violation of this section shall be punished according to the penalties described under section 1-9.

    (c)

    No part or portion of this section shall have the effect of increasing or diminishing any of the provisions of the city zoning ordinance heretofore passed and in effect at the time of the passage of this section.
