§ 22-90. Definitions.

  • The following words, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Lot means any lot, tract or parcel of land located within the corporate limits of this city and shall also include the sidewalk which adjoins such lot or is a part of such lot.

    Weeds means any and all rank vegetable growth which exhales unpleasant or obnoxious odors and also any and all high and rank vegetable growth which may be unsightly, or may conceal filth deposits, garbage or trash, or may serve as breeding, hiding or resting places for reptiles, rodents, insects or other vermin; and shall also include all grass or other rank vegetable growth which exceeds eight inches in height if on a lot which is developed or which is adjacent to a developed lot, or 12 inches in height if it is on any undeveloped lot which is not adjacent to a developed lot.
