§ 22-95. Duties of railroads, railways.

  • All railroads, except those owned or operated by a political corporation, railways and street railway companies owning property or having rights-of-way within the city shall cause said property to be kept cut and cleared of noxious weeds, grass or other deleterious, unhealthy or noxious growth on the property of rights-of-way of said railroads, railways or street railway companies located within the city and extending three miles outside of the incorporated limits of the city. For the purposes of this section, any growth 18 inches high or taller shall constitute a violation of this section; and the railroad, railway or street railway company shall be notified by registered mail to cut, destroy and remove the noxious weeds, grass or other deleterious, unhealthy or noxious growth on said property or right-of-way.
