§ 6-41. Inoculation of dogs required; tag.

It shall be the duty of every person owning or having in his possession any dog or other animal of the canine species within the city to have a certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian showing that such animal has been inoculated with a recognized anti-rabies serum. The numbered metal tag furnished by the parish health officer or the veterinarian indicating the calendar year for which such inoculation has been issued shall be attached to said animal's collar.
