§ 6-43. Impoundment and disposal of animals not inoculated; redemption by owner.

(a)

All dogs or animals of the canine species found in the city over the age of three months which have not been inoculated shall be seized and held. Said animals shall be held and disposed of in accordance with guidelines set forth from time to time by the mayor and board of aldermen.

(b)

Owners or agents of owners who seek to reclaim their animals after impoundment shall pay an impoundment fee in addition to other charges levied as a result of such impoundment.
