§ 8-15. Construction materials authorized.

All fences must be constructed of materials normally used in fence construction, such as wood boards, pickets, chainlink, cypress post, split rail or any other material advertised and sold as fencing materials. Except for tracts used as pasture, barbed wire is prohibited for use around or adjacent to any premises situated in residential R-10, residential R-6 or R-T residential trailer zones as provide in the zoning ordinance of the city. Other nonfencing materials such as corrugated iron, sheet metal, steel plates, broken glass and aluminum plates are prohibited.
