§ 8-171. Length of runs of piping to be used.

  • The following rules shall govern the length of runs of gas piping to be used in piping buildings and structures:

    (1)

    Generally. Greatest length of pipe of various sizes allowed for gas house piping:

    One three-fourths inch outlet shall be considered as equivalent to three one-half inch outlets and a one inch outlet as equivalent to five one-half inch outlets.

    (2)

    Extensions. When extensions to house piping are made, the provisions hereof providing greatest length of pipe of various sizes allowed must be complied with.
