§ 4.8. Drainage.

  • 4.801.

    An adequate drainage system, including necessary subsurface drainage systems, pipes, culverts, intersectional drains, drop inlets, bridges, etc., shall be provided for the proper drainage of all surface water and shall be subject to the approval of the city engineer, planning commission and City Council.

    4.802.

    The planning commission and board of aldermen shall have the right, if they deem it necessary, to require that the principal drainage facilities be designed and constructed by the subdividers and land developers to handle storms occurring on an average frequency of one out of five (5) years.
