§ 10-103. Days of public rest, legal holidays and half-holidays.

(a)

Days of public rest. The city shall observe as days of public rest, legal holidays and half-holidays, those days and dates enumerated in paragraphs (1) through (4) of Revised Statutes 1:55(A) (R.S. 1:55(A)(1)—(4)).

(b)

Commencement of half-holiday. When a half-holiday is declared, the half-holiday shall begin at 12:00 noon of the day declared.

(c)

Holiday, half-holiday on Saturday. When a holiday or half-holiday falls on a Saturday, the observance of the holiday shall be at the option of the individual.

(d)

Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to places of amusement, saloons and restaurants.
