§ 10-104. Public dances regulated.

  • (a)

    Permit, fee therefor. Any person who shall give, manage, sponsor or in any manner be in charge of giving a public dance within the corporate limits of the city shall, prior to the time set for the dance, obtain a permit in writing from the city clerk, for which no fee shall be charged.

    (b)

    Deputies required. Three deputies shall be appointed and shall serve as law enforcement officers at the dance for which the permit has been granted.

    (c)

    Violations and penalties. Any person giving, sponsoring, managing or otherwise being in charge of giving any public dance who shall not obtain a permit as provided for in subsection (a) of this section shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in section 1-9.
