§ 28-3. Authority to require bond to keep peace.

  • In all cases where there is reason to apprehend a breach of the peace upon the violation of any ordinance, or when any person is convicted of any violation of any ordinance, the mayor may require bond with sufficient security in such amount as he shall deem reasonable, conditioned that such person shall be of good behavior for a term not exceeding 12 months, and if such person fails or refuses to give such bond, he shall be punished as provided in section 1-9.
