§ 30-32. Truck routes established; exceptions.

  • (a)

    Established. All trucks having more than two axles shall be restricted to the streets shown in subsection (b) of this section; except where local pickup and deliveries require travel on other routes. Signs shall be erected on each of the streets so scheduled, designating each of such streets as a truck route and when such signs have been so erected, no truck having more than two axles shall be operated on any other streets than those set forth in such schedule except for the purpose of local pickups and deliveries as provided above. Where pickups and deliveries are required to be made, they shall be made in a direct traffic pattern from the nearest designated truck route.
