§ 8-113. Gas inspector, assistants; appointment, duties, authority.

(a)

The mayor shall be and he is hereby authorized and directed to appoint a gas inspector and such assistant gas inspectors as in his opinion may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this article.

(b)

Said gas inspector and his assistants are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to inspect and supervise the installation, construction, reconstruction and repair of all house gas piping, gas appliances, fixtures and apparatus now or hereafter to be placed in or in any manner directly attached to any building or structure within the municipality.
