§ 10.2. Authority and intent.

Under the authority conferred to the City of Patterson under the statutes of the State of Louisiana and the City of Patterson Home Rule charter, and in furtherance of protecting the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Patterson, it is the intent of this article to provide for the harmonious development of the city, traffic safety, and aesthetics in accordance with the master plan heretofore made and adopted by the City of Patterson Planning Commission, through the enactment of regulations regarding the size, scale, height, location, material, and lighting of off-premises outdoor advertising within the incorporated limits of the city as such limits exist or may exist in the future.
