§ 10-105. Dock fees at Patterson Wharf; eviction, costs; penalty.

  • (a)

    Dock fees at the Patterson Wharf are hereby fixed as follows:

    (1)

    Licensed working shrimp boats shall be charged per month or any portion thereof more than three days.

    (2)

    All other vessels shall be charged per month or any portion thereof more than three days; provided that the vessel may be docked at a wharf belonging to the city for no more than ten days of any month.

    (3)

    The dock fees imposed by this section shall be in amounts as established by the mayor and city council from time to time.

    (b)

    Licensed working shrimp boat means a shrimping vessel having a current license issued by the state or any other state, a full complement of fishing gear, including nets, boards, ice hold and appurtenances required for active shrimping operations.

    (c)

    In the event that a vessel must be evicted from any Patterson Wharf, the vessel and the owner shall be liable for all costs thereof.

    (d)

    Any person or vessel found in violation of this section shall be subject to a fine as described under section 1-9, each day constituting a separate offense.
