§ 2-6. Effect of annexation of property.

Latest version.

Property annexed to the city shall be a part and portion of the city and embraced within the corporate limits, and the inhabitants residing therein shall have, enjoy and exercise and be subject to all the rights, immunities and prerogatives as well as duties, and obligations imposed by law upon the inhabitants of the city.
