§ 2-7. Municipal boundaries described.

  • The boundaries of the city, as extended and enlarged under the ordinance from which this section is derived, are hereby defined, described and fixed as follows:

    Commencing at "Point A," the point of intersection of the west, right descending, bank of the Lower Atchafalaya River and the boundary line between the properties of L. Kemper Williams and J. Emmet Lassus, said "Point A" being the point of beginning; thence proceeding in a northerly direction along the said west, right descending, bank of said Lower Atchafalaya River to "Point B," its intersection with the boundary line between the properties of F. B. Williams, now or formerly, and Mrs. George M. Moore, now or formerly; thence along said boundary line between the properties of F. B. Williams, and Mrs. George M. Moore, a distance of 1,744 feet S62°00'00"W to "Point C," its intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of the public road, La. Hwy. 182, leading from Patterson to Franklin; thence in a northerly direction along the westerly right-of-way line of said public road, La. Hwy. 182, to "Point D," its intersection with the northern property line of Sam Letto; thence in a southwesterly direction along the property line of Sam Letto and a prolongation southwesterly of said property line to "Point E," its intersection with the east line of section 69, T15S-R11E; thence in a southerly direction along the east line of section 69, T15S-R11E, to "Point F," the southeast corner of section 69, T15S-R11E; thence in a southwesterly direction along the southern line of section 69, T15S-R11E and along the southern line of section 17, T15S-R11E to "Point G," its intersection with the line dividing sections 22 and 25, T15S-R11E; thence in a southerly direction along said dividing line and also along the dividing line between sections 22 and 26, T15S-R11E to "Point H," its intersection with Point "A" as shown on a plat by Miller Engineers & Associates, entitled "Plan of Land Showing Property of Ray Thompson, et al To Be Acquired by Bernard Lagrange Being a Portion of Lot 37 Designated Tract "ABCDA"" and dated May 20, 1981; thence N62°01'00"E a distance of 2177.93 feet to "Point I"; thence in a southerly direction along said westerly right-of-way line of Red Cypress Road to "Point AN," its intersection with Point "G" as shown on a plat by Miller Engineers & Associates, Inc., entitled "Plan of Land Showing Property of Delmac, Inc. Being Tract "ABCDEFGHA" and dated January 18, 1983; thence S62°01'00"W a distance of 2113.81 feet to "Point AO"; thence S10°01'00"W a distance of 76.14 feet to "Point AP"; thence N62°01'00"E a distance of 2081.45 feet to "Point AQ"; thence in a southerly direction along said westerly right-of-way line of Red Cypress Road to "Point J," its intersection with Point "C" as shown on a plat by Peterman, Landry and Associates, Inc., entitled "Plan of Land Showing Tract "KLMCK"-Ledgerdom, Ltd." and dated October 21, 1981; thence S62°05'55"W a distance of 1,133.62 feet to "Point K"; thence S9°40'04"W a distance of 100.45 feet to "Point L"; thence S80°19'56"E a distance of 682.04 feet to "Point M" located on the westernmost right-of-way line of Red Cypress Road; thence in a southerly direction along the westerly right-of-way line of Red Cypress Road and its prolongation southerly, to "Point N," its intersection with the southern right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, formerly Morgan's Louisiana and Texas Railroad and Steamship Company; thence in a northwesterly direction along the southern right-of-way line of the said railroad to "Point O," which is also a point labeled "A" on a plat by Miller Engineers and Associates, Inc., entitled "Plan of Land Showing Partition of Property of the Pietro Lipari Estate" dated November 9, 1979, and revised July 22, 1981; thence in a southwesterly direction along the northwesternmost property lines of Lots C-2, C-3, and C-4, as shown on said plat, to "Point P," the northwesternmost corner of Lot C-4; thence in a southeasterly direction along the westernmost property line of Lot C-4 and a prolongation thereof to "Point Q," the northwesternmost property line of Lot B-9 of the aforementioned partition of property of the Pietro Lipari Estate; thence in a southwesterly direction along the northwesternmost property line of said Lot B-9, having a bearing of S55°30'42"W to "Point R," the westernmost corner of said Lot B-9; thence in a southeasterly direction along the westernmost property lines of Lots B-9, B-8, B-7 and B-6 having a bearing of S30°07'30"E for an approximate distance of 1,706 feet to "Point S," the northwesternmost corner of Lot B-5 of the aforementioned partition of property of the Pietro Lipari Estate; thence in a northeasterly direction along the northwesterly property line of said Lot B-5, having a bearing of N52°56'21"E and a distance of 4,580 feet to "Point T," the northernmost corner of Lot B-5; thence along the northeast property line of Lot B-5 having a bearing of S39°57'21"E and a distance of 282.42 feet to "Point U," the northernmost corner of Lot B-5; thence along the southeast property line of said Lot B-5 having a bearing of S52°56'21"W a distance of 4,628.58 feet to "Point V," the southernmost corner of Lot B-5; thence along the westernmost property line of Lot B-4 and a portion of Lot B-3 of the aforementioned partition of property of the Pietro Lipari Estate having a bearing of S30°07'30"E to its intersection with the prolongation of the northwesternmost property line of Lot D-2 of the aforementioned partition of property of the Pietro Lipari Estate, "Point W"; thence southwesterly across the proposed street, along the prolongation of the northwesternmost property line of Lot D-2 to its intersection with the northernmost property corner of Lot D-2; thence along the northwesternmost property line of Lot D-2, a distance of 178.30 feet, to "Point X"; thence across Lot D-2 in a southeasterly direction and parallel to the proposed street right-of-way line to "Point Y," the intersection of the southwesternmost property line of Lot D-2; thence northeasterly along the southeasternmost property line of Lot D-2 to "Point Z," its intersection with the proposed street right-of-way line a distance of 178.30 feet; thence across the proposed street right-of-way and along the prolongation of the southeasternmost property line of Lot D-2 to its intersection with the southwesternmost property line of Lot B-2; thence along the southwest property lines of Lots B-2 and B-1 of the aforementioned partition of property of the Pietro Lipari Estate having a bearing of S30°7'30"E to its intersection with the northwesterly property line of properties of Anthony Mula, et al, "Point AA," said property line being shown on a plat entitled "Survey of Tracts 1, 2 and 3 of Property of Jake F. Lipari, et al, located in section 47, T16S-R11E", dated April 2, 1980, and prepared by Gulf South Engineers, Inc., Houma, Louisiana, as recorded in Book 22-Y, Page 589, of the records of St. Mary Parish, Louisiana; thence along the said northwesterly property line of properties of Anthony Mula, et al, having a bearing of S50°16'39"W to the westernmost corner of said property of Anthony Mula, et al, "Point AB"; thence along a line having a bearing of S41°15'31"E and a distance of 720.80 feet to the southernmost corner of said property of Anthony Mula, et al, "Point AC"; thence on a bearing of N48°29'29"E along the property line between the properties of Anthony Mula, et al, and Alfred S. Lippman, et al, formerly Blanche Bergman Norman, et al, to its intersection with the northern right-of-way line of Columbia Gulf Transmission Company Pipeline, "Point AD"; thence in a southeasterly direction along said pipeline right-of-way 1,278 feet to its intersection with the westernmost right-of-way of a certain street named Gail Drive as shown on a preliminary plat of Patterson Plaza Subdivision as prepared by Gulf South Engineers, Inc., dated April 20, 1982, being the property line between Alfred S. Lippman and Wayne C. LeBlanc, et al, "Point AE"; thence in a southwesterly direction along the westernmost right-of-way of Gail Drive to its intersection with the property line between Alfred S. Lippman and Wayne C. LeBlanc, et al, "Point AF"; thence in a southeasterly direction along said property line to the property line between Alfred S. Lippman, formerly Valsin Bernard, and Mary B. Guzzino, et al, "Point AG"; thence in a northeasterly direction along said property line between Alfred S. Lippman and Mary B. Guzzino, et al, now or formerly and a prolongation thereof, to the northernmost right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad, formerly Morgan's Louisiana and Texas Railroad and Steamship Company, "Point AH"; thence in an easterly direction along northern right-of-way of the railroad to its intersection with the southerly prolongation of the boundary line between the properties of L. Kemper Williams and J. Emmet Lassus, "Point Al"; thence in a generally northerly direction along said prolongation of the boundary line and along the boundary line to its intersection with the west, right descending, bank of the Lower Atchafalaya River, being the point of beginning, Point "A."
