§ 3.4. Alleys.

3.401.

Locations. Alleys shall be permitted in all districts. Where alleys are utilized, the following minimum specifications shall apply.

3.402.

Right-of-way widths. Alley right-of-way width shall be not less than follows:

Commercial or industrial areas: 30 feet.

Residential area (when used): 20 feet.

3.403.

Intersections. Alley intersections and sharp changes in alignment shall be avoided, but, where necessary, corners shall be cut off sufficiently to permit safe vehicular movement.

3.404.

Dead-end alleys. Dead-end alleys shall be avoided where possible, but, if unavoidable, shall be provided with adequate turn-around facilities at the dead-ends as determined by the Patterson Planning Commission and Board of Aldermen.
